Ashcroft Line · contractor induction
Kesh IV was a Vashti Combine seedbank until the containment stacks failed. What got out was the bloom — a fungal-neural mat that colonises nervous systems and circuits with equal appetite. The colonists became the drowned. The Combine's repair drones never powered down; they simply began repairing the bloom instead.
You contract to the Ashcroft Line. Six drops, then you're out. Salvage pays, the relay sells ammunition, and the marsh hunts by sound.
You cannot see far. Fog eats light at fourteen metres. The sonar ping is how you read the world — echoes are pitch-coded by contact type and delayed by range. Headphones strongly recommended.
Screen reader users: the plate is role="application", so keys reach the game
directly. Press V once to swap the built-in voice for a live region your
own reader will announce.

Open Independence · a public laboratory
Building technology that expands independence.
“Independence is the freedom to live the life you choose, to the fullest extent possible, on your own terms.”
That does not mean doing everything alone. It means real choices, the tools to act on them, and support that respects your autonomy. Mirebound is part of that work — a game built to be played by ear, by keyboard, by mouse, by touch, or by screen reader.
